An innovative and functional extension

In the heart of Barcelona's uptown area, the Arsenal Sports Club is planning to extend its facilities. The project consists of the construction of a three-storey car park building below ground level.

The proposal responds to the functional organisation needs of the building and stands out for the optimisation of the number of parking spaces.

The ground floor acts as a landscaped roof in its first section, generating intermediate levels that reach the basement.

A large pit is generated by the implementation of large diaphragm walls. The building is stabilised and the structure is resolved once the new floor slabs have been built.

All the floors have natural ventilation and lighting thanks to a large metal mesh skin façade that allows a panoramic view of the sports club.

The final result is a compact volume of simple and clean geometries that make the building an innovative proposal that combines technique and sustainability to offer quality spaces.
