Sustainable housing integrated into the natural landscape of Mexico

An architecture that is born from the place, understanding its essence from two inseparable aspects: the local culture and the climate of the Sonoran environment.
The proposal is based on a contemporary vernacular architecture, which groups volumes contained and connected by a pedestrian corridor that runs between buildings, promoting a fluid and harmonious path between spaces.

The proposed architecture is not only built form: it acts as a natural regulator of light and temperature, facilitating natural lighting and thermal comfort through a strategic implantation that responds to the environment.

Native materials -stone, earth, wood- and a color palette consistent with the landscape reinforce the landscape integration and the identity of the place.

Single-level dwellings face the lagoon, and two-story dwellings are planned for the rear, ensuring that all enjoy unobstructed views and a visual connection with the surroundings.
The volumetry is adapted to the terrain through displacements in plan and section, optimizing the use of urban and natural resources. This strategy also breaks with repetition and adds compositional richness to the complex.

A design that does not impose, but rather dialogues with the landscape: sustainable architecture, connected to the environment and to contemporary living in Mexico.
