Housing Almuñécar Iberdrola Almuñecar, Spain
Staggered housing in Almuñécar with sea views and Mediterranean connection
The project is based on a clear objective: to enhance the sea views from all the dwellings and ensure that the architecture dialogues with the steep slope of the terrain.
The four blocks are built on different levels, adapting to the topography of the site and avoiding obstructing the landscape. This gesture allows each house to enjoy privacy and panoramic views of the Mediterranean, making the sea a constant backdrop.
The buildings are surrounded by large outdoor platforms, which dilute the built limits and generate landscaped terraces, living areas, communal pool, gym and spa. An interior boulevard connects the two building strips, articulating the accesses and activating life between buildings.
Integration with the surroundings is reinforced by pedestrian paths, breakwater walls and native vegetation, which soften the natural slope of the terrain. Pedestrian access is from the rear façade, while the rest of the façades open towards the sea horizon.
Each house is designed to enjoy the landscape from the day area and bedrooms, with interior spaces that extend onto large terraces. These terraces alternate lateral overhangs, incorporate planters and are resolved with metal parapets and railings that blend the architecture with the vegetation.
The first floors have private gardens and the rooftops have the option of individual swimming pools, reinforcing the exclusive character of the complex.
A residential project that adapts to the terrain, embraces the landscape and translates the Mediterranean essence into a livable experience.
