A refurbishment with history

Right in the centre of Barcelona, we find ourselves in a modernist building from 1930. Specifically in a historic home, so the renovation project is based on a modernisation that respects the past. Thus, the preservation of the historical essence of the house will be the main premise of the proposal. From here, the aim is to redistribute the space according to the criteria of functioning and differentiation between the day and night areas.

The traditional elements, such as the flooring recovered from hydraulic-type ceramic pieces, the restored wooden external joinery or the exposed ceramic vaulted ceilings become the true protagonists of the space. In this way, giving these elements their rightful value, the renovation of the space is combined with a look at the building's modernist heritage.
